Sheriff’s Office announces high water road closings

The Vinton County Sheriff’s Office has posted details of the following road closings in Vinton County as of 8 p.m. Wednesday:
State Route 324 at the church is posted as closed, but advised passage is possible if attempted with caution.
State Route 124/Minerton Road
State Route 278, various areas
The office asked that anyone who sees high water areas where the road is impassible contact the office at 740-596-5242 or 740-596-4222 so signs can be placed.
