Chillicothe Walmart donates water to cooling station

McARTHUR — Chillicothe Walmart donated bottled water to the McArthur Crime Watch group to be distributed at the Vinton County Middle School cooling station.

The cooling station has been open since Saturday for residents who are without power. The cooling station offers showers, cots, snacks and waters to residents who need a place to cool off, sleep or charge electronics.

A heat advisory is in effect again from noon to 7 p.m. Monday, according to the National Weather Service.
