Sheriff’s office investigation leads to drug-related arrest
An Albany resident was arrested Tuesday after an investigation by the Vinton County Sheriff’s Office led to findings of drug trafficking, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
According to a release from the Vinton County Sheriff’s Office, Crystal Camp, 29, of Albany was arrested for trafficking in heroin and possession of drug abuse instruments after an investigation by Deputy William Bowden. Members of the Vinton County Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at the Albany residence where marijuana and drug paraphernalia was found.
The release stated that several controlled drug purchases of heroin had been made by Camp.
Camp was taken to the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail. A hearing will be scheduled for Thursday.
